Abstract Submission Guidelines (*英語のみの受付となります。)

Abstracts should be prepared by following instructions.

  • All presentations must be original (not previously presented or published) and submitted in English.

  • All individuals are permitted to submit only one abstract as the first (presenting) author, but there is no limitation on how many abstracts can be submitted as co-authors.

  • The title and authors’ names should be in initial capital/lower case, not all capitals.

  • The body of abstracts must not exceed 300 words.

  • All abstracts must have the following sub-headings (hard return between each section):

    • Background: Describe the background for the study in one or two sentences.

    • Objective: State the main and precise objective(s) or question(s) of the study,  including the major hypotheses if applicable. The objective/purpose statement must identify the target population, intervention or exposures, and outcomes.

    • Design: Describe the overall study design, indicating, as appropriate use of randomization, blinding, criterion standards for diagnostic tests, temporal direction (retrospective or prospective), and so on.

    • Setting: Indicate the study setting, including the clinical setting or research laboratory or field.

    • Patients (or Participants): Describe the underlying target population, selection procedures (e.g., population-based sample, volunteer sample, or convenience sample), and important aspects of the final patients/participants pool (e.g., number, average age, weight, height, and measures of variance, years of experience or gender).

    • Interventions (or Assessment of Risk Factors): Describe essential features of any interventions or exposures, including their method and duration of administration. Clearly outline the independent variables if observation studies are conducted.

    • Main Outcome Measurements: State the primary or critical outcome measures (dependent variables) that support the primary objective (s) of the study as planned before data collection began. If the hypothesis being tested was formulated during or after data collection, this fact should be clearly indicated.

    • Results: Report the main finding of the study.  Include descriptive data (e.g., proportions, means, rates, odds ratios, or correlations), accompanying measures of dispersion (e.g., ranges, standard deviations, or confidence intervals), and inferential statistical data in comparative reports. The exact level of statistical significance should accompany results.

    • Conclusions: Summarize or emphasize the new and important findings of the study. Provide only conclusions of the study that are directly supported by the data.

  • Abbreviations: Refer to the list of acceptable abbreviations in the attached document that does not need to be spelled out. All other abbreviations should be introduced in parentheses after the full word(s) first appears.

  • Tables or figures should not be included.

  • All abstracts can only be submitted through the submission page (https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/3572/submitter).

  • All abstracts will undergo blind review.

  • Any financial involvement or assistance they have received for their paper needs to be disclosed.
